Building the event-led growth engine at ClickUp. From 3 events a quarter → 1 event a week.

A sunny SKO in San Diego ☀️ A few weeks back, ClickUp hosted its Sales Kick Off in San Diego, bringing our GTM team together from across the globe for the first time in three years. And what a bloody week it was! ClickUp is a truly global company, and as the Regional Marketing Manager for EMEA & APAC, I spend most of my days working across multiple time zones with colleagues scattered all over the globe. So getting to connect in person, after years of async messages and odd hour calls, felt really special — the kind of energy you just can’t replicate through a screen. On top of that, my team was behind the logistics of the entire event. Watching Stephanie and Trish pull it all together so seamlessly was honestly incredible. Getting a glimpse behind the scenes, seeing the moving parts, the pressure, the detail that goes into something like this was such a learning curve. I loved being even a small part of it. 🫶 ✨ Remote working has genuinely changed my life for the better. It’s given me back the 4+ hours a day I used to spend commuting, time that now goes into things that actually add value, instead of pulling my hair out on an overcrowded bus that’s somehow always 20 minutes late. But as great as remote work is, there’s something irreplaceable about being in the same room as people. SKO was full-on. Packed days of killer content, loads of new connections, and plenty of fun along the way. (I mean can we take a minute for the boat? Unreal. There’s no better way to see the San Diego skyline, you can fight me on that.) It was exhausting in the best way possible, and I left feeling inspired, re-energised, and properly excited to take on 2026 with everything I’ve got. 🚀
