The Caribbean is among the regions most exposed to climate hazards worldwide. Between 2004 and 2024, climate-related extreme weather events increased by 84% compared to the previous two decades. Damages to coastal and energy infrastructure not only amplifies economic losses but also disrupts connectivity and public services while raising the cost of maintaining and expanding infrastructure. Boosting investment in infrastructure and early warning systems is central to advancing resilience and sustainable development in Caribbean countries as climate hazards and external shocks intensify. Find out how governments can manage damages from these increasing risks in the new report from the #OECD and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) ➡️ https://brnw.ch/21x1MKf OECD Development | #CDD2026
