With 80 crops and more than 150 varieties, the farm pioneers innovative, research-driven solutions to build resilient and sustainable farming systems. By developing scalable organic practices and sharing open-source knowledge, Alfred helps make innovation accessible and adaptable for farmers across Europe. 🇬🇷 Georgios Antonopoulos Agroktima Antonopoulou is a pioneering 230 ha organic farm dedicated to preserving Greece’s agricultural heritage through the cultivation of around 33 traditional landrace varieties, including cereals, legumes, and heritage crops. With decades of organic farming experience and full value-chain integration, the farm combines biodiversity conservation with innovation and market-driven solutions. By creating value through traceability, unique products, and sustainable practices, Georgios demonstrates how protecting genetic heritage can go hand in hand with a successful and resilient farming model.
