One message came through clearly at #EUSEW2026 last week: industrial electrification is about much more than deploying new technologies. Despite representing different parts of the energy ecosystem, speakers agreed on several key priorities: ⚡ High upfront investment costs remain the biggest barrier. ⚡ Grid constraints, congestion, and connection delays continue to slow projects. ⚡ Electricity taxation reforms are needed to strengthen business cases. ➡️ The consensus? Successful industrial electrification depends not only on technology, but also on access to grid infrastructure, affordable and predictable electricity prices, and clear visibility on solutions that can deliver long-term industrial resilience. Thanks to our incredible speakers for such an interesting panel: Isabel Blanco Lelde Kiela-Vilumsone Marion Labatut Paula Iwaniuk Nicolai Romanowski Laure Dulière
