The second week of our Flying Eye Hospital project in Arequipa, Peru, was a resounding success. Through hands-on clinical training, more than 125 eye care professionals strengthened their skills—gaining the experience needed to deliver advanced care in their own communities for years to come.   That is the real impact of this work: not just the patients treated this week, but the many thousands more who will benefit in the years ahead of us. With an empowered workforce and expanded access to care for 5.3 million people across southern Peru, this is lasting change at scale and are key parts of our mission at Orbis.   Many thanks to everyone who made this possible—from our volunteer medical teams and pilots to our partners and supporters. This kind of progress only happens when we work together.
