Forbes published a feature this week on the spread of in-ovo sexing in the U.S. and it’s worth a read! NestFresh Eggs has committed their entire brand to humanely hatched eggs, becoming the first in U.S. retail to do so at that scale. That's a major milestone, and worth celebrating. Humanely hatched eggs are on shelves across America today. The Humane League’s Liz Fergus named the Genus Focus as the technology best positioned to lead U.S. adoption, pointing to its versatility across all commercial breeds as a key differentiator. Christine Ro's piece makes something very clear: in-ovo sexing technology works, it's here, and it's at industrial scale. What's still lagging is consumer awareness and retailer action. As Fergus puts it, the next move belongs to retailers. Link in the comments.
