This past week, the OCNY Arts Council had the honor of visiting ADAPT of the Hudson Valley, thanks to Kathleen Contreras, Vice President of Program Services. We were invited to sit in on a class for adult artists with disabilities as part of the Wickham Works, Inc. Uplift Workshop Series - an incredible partnership bringing accessible, inclusive creative opportunities to the community. Our Director, Brandi McLendon, also had the chance to tour the facility and view artwork created through ADAPT's Community Services Art Program. The pieces displayed throughout the space were not only inspiring, but a powerful reflection of talent, process, and creativity. It was wonderful connecting with Kathleen over our shared commitment to helping individuals explore their creativity and passion for art. We're excited to support a future where artists with disabilities are seen, celebrated, and uplifted across Orange County.
