Orange County students earned national recognition at the 2026 National History Day National Contest, demonstrating excellence in historical research, critical thinking and communication. Students from Northwood High School, Sierra Vista Middle School, Venado Middle School and Irvine High School earned a national championship, finalist honors, special awards and a documentary showcase selection at the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture.
