The new Integrated Customs Controls Facility and Border Control Post (BCP) – Terminal 7 Delivered on time and on budget, at a final cost of approximately €230 million, Terminal 7 provides permanent, purpose-built facilities to support post-Brexit customs, sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS), and official food controls, ensuring continued compliance with EU border legislation and protection of the EU single market. The project includes the construction of 34 new buildings, replacing temporary infrastructure that had been in place since 2021. The new complex enhances driver welfare, streamlines passenger and freight movements, and centralises key inspection and administrative functions within a single campus at the port. Facilities delivered as part of the project include: - Inspection areas for live animals and food products - Freight and passenger check-in facilities - A dedicated Revenue scanner building to support vehicle checks - Immigration, customs and border control facilities - Modern driver welfare and administrative buildings Developed by the OPW on behalf of multiple State partners — including the Office of the Revenue Commissioners, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, the Health Service Executive, the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration / An Garda Síochána, and Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail — this project demonstrates strong cross-Government collaboration in delivering critical national infrastructure. Watch the video below to see how Terminal 7 is strengthening Ireland’s trade connectivity, supporting regional economic activity in the South East, and future-proofing one of the country’s busiest ports. #RosslareEuroport #CustomsControl #BorderControl #InfrastructureDevelopment #PostBrexit #TradeConnectivity #RegionalEconomy #EUCompliance #GovernmentCollaboration Government of Ireland
