What if emergency crews could find you in seconds – even when GPS can't? We've been testing new 5G technology with Ericsson and FrontierSI that could transform how first responders work in emergencies. The challenge: GPS often fails in the places where emergencies happen – between tall buildings, in dense bushland, inside structures. What we tested: Drones that automatically follow emergency vehicles and stream live video back to command centres – showing exactly where they are, down to the centimetre, even when GPS cuts out. Why this could be a game-changer: ☑️ Find people faster – pinpoint victims in collapsed buildings, dense bush, or disaster zones ☑️ Spot dangers earlier – see hazards from above before crews walk into them ☑️ Keep responders safer – better situational awareness means smarter, safer decisions ☑️ Deploy help where it's needed most – real-time intel means resources go to the right place, fast This is still in testing, but we're sharing the results at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to show how 5G could power a new generation of life-saving tools for emergency services. #MWC26 #5GAdvanced #PublicSafety #Innovation #Ericsson #FrontierSI #FutureReady
