Agentic AI seems like the buzzword of the year. And its potential for security operations is obvious: It can quickly identify risks, prioritize incidents, and automatically suggest countermeasures. With AI’s growing capacity to perform autonomous actions, it becomes convenient to say: “Just let AI do it.” But here is a fundamental fallacy: AI is very good at recognizing patterns. But it does not understand what its actions mean for people or your business. It does not understand how an intervention can damage the trust of your customers or employees, how critical the timing is from a business perspective, or who ultimately bears responsibility. Just because something makes technical sense does not mean it is organizationally acceptable. This is why decisions can and should never be fully automated. At Open Systems, we see AI for what it is: an extremely powerful tool. But we never rely on it for moral, legal or business questions. Watch Niccolò B. explain why some decisions should not be left to AI or automation.
