The resilience and bravery of Ellen Roome MBE everyday I find incredible. She lost on her son, then took on the social media companies to find out why, and then the government to introduce laws to protect our children. As a result we have found out that social Media companies deliberately created algorithms for addiction and at no time were concerned about children being pushed dangerous content. We would never give a loaded gun to a child to play with - but we hand them an iPhone or iPad (android options also available), and think they are ok. Now together with Lauren Cowell (wife of Simon Cowell), who herself is a mother of a young man vulnerable to these threats, they will be making this tragic event and the aftermath into a mini TV series. This will be in my opinion the "Adolescence" of 2027 and I hope it goes on to get the global attention and recognition - not just for the awards - but to bring increased awareness to how serious these threats are and help do more to protect our children. I just wish we could have done more to help protect Ellen's son. We owe her so so much 🙏💛
