Earlier this month, 10,000 Trees for the Rouge volunteer group planted their 250,000th tree in the Rouge River Valley, an incredible milestone! 🌳 Since 1989, 10,000 Trees have organized large-scale planting events, helping restore over 113 hectares (280 acres) of Ontario’s forest cover. Trust staff were proud to join the celebration of this quarter-million achievement, which follows 10,000 Trees’ receiving the Lieutenant Governor's Ontario Heritage Award for Excellence in Conservation this past April.
