During National Volunteer Week, we honour the recipients of the 2025 Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Award for Lifetime Volunteer Achievement, Madeleine McDowell and Sue Warren. Madeleine has spent more than 55 years championing heritage in the Humber River Valley and supporting Indigenous storytelling. Sue has dedicated 45 years to strengthening heritage societies and museums in Leeds and Grenville and expanding community access to local history.
