Chemical herbicides that are widely used today to manage weeds are major risks to human health, beneficial soil microbes, and local water supplies due to toxic runoff and chemical leaching. 'Kulfa,' the traditional method of weeding by ploughing, is an eco-friendly weed management practice that protects crops, health, and local environment. Presenting our short reel “कुल्पा” (Kulpa) | “Weeding by Ploughing" yet again, an episode of"Udaarsheel Bhoomi" (The Generous Earth), a collaborative project of the Onsai Foundation and the SPS Community Media towards promoting nature-positive management of agriculture, with the support of Samaj Pragati Sahayog Sustainable Agriculture Programme as a knowledge partner.
