Marcus Bosch conducts the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock in a new album released by Hänssler, dedicated to rarely performed works by Hermann Grädener and Mathilde Kralik von Meyrswalden. The recording offers the opportunity to discover music from a period that is historically familiar, yet still rich in lesser-known voices. Hermann Grädener, a contemporary of Dvořák and Grieg, was active mainly in Vienna, while maintaining family roots in northern Germany. The album also features Mathilde Kralik von Meyrswalden’s Hymnic Symphony in F minor, the only symphony by the composer, who studied near the world of Anton Bruckner and spent much of her life in Vienna. “Oliver Triendl displays musical qualities that leave you speechless. Ten pianists in one. It is easy to understand why he is acclaimed on every continent. He gives the world premiere of this forgotten concerto and transcends it together with the musicians of Rostock, under the attentive and alert direction of Marcus Bosch. A real treat. The body trembles. The heart races. Here we have the reference version for many years to come.” (Serge Alexandre on “Sortir ici et ailleurs”) .
