A documentary that contributes to truth, memory, and the right to identity. On August 28, 2026, Dutch public broadcaster NPO 2 will premiere a documentary investigating the adoption of Chilean children to the Netherlands, following more than three years of investigative work by journalist and filmmaker Tanja Kok. The documentary brings together the testimonies of Chilean mothers and Chilean adoptees who continue searching for their origins, identity, and the truth about the circumstances surrounding their adoptions. It also highlights the lasting impact these cases have had on both adoptees and their biological families. At Nos Buscamos, we deeply value investigations like this, which help shed light on the history of illegal adoptions and child trafficking from Chile while promoting truth, justice, reparation, and the fundamental right to identity.
