178,000 jobs added in March. Sounds great, right? Until you see the hiring rate: 3.1%. The lowest since 2020. 6.9 million job openings. Only 4.8 million actual hires. Employers are posting. They're just not pulling the trigger. Healthcare added 76,000 jobs -- over half the total. Construction +26,000. Federal government -18,000. Finance -16,000. Small businesses added 85,000 jobs. Big companies? Cutting. The real growth engine is small and mid-market employers who need talent that's ready now. The market isn't coming back to you. Go to it.
