Prof. Dimitriadis gave us an honest look at the HIS currently used in hospitals - powerful in theory, but often unintuitive and frustrating in practice. It showed us that technology doesn't always make a doctor's job easier: sometimes it genuinely does, and sometimes it adds a whole new layer of complexity. A good reminder that technology shouldn't be developed for its own sake, but to genuinely support clinicians and fit seamlessly into their daily workflows. We also explored what the future of technology in healthcare could look like, and how the role of physicians may evolve in the coming years - a topic that sparked a lively and engaging discussion with our participants. A big thank you to Prof. Dr. Konstantinos Dimitriadis for the valuable insights!
