The board’s priority is profitability. A CISO’s priority is security. Those can feel like competing agendas, but actually – they’re the same. Because the cost of a breach can be millions of dollars between lost revenue, downtime, regulatory fines and reputational damage. But if identity security is only being pitched as an IT concern rather than a business risk reducer, the value gets lost in translation. The corporate firewall that kept so many organizations feeling safe is no longer a reality.
