Fresh out of the oven! We are thrilled to share the publication of our very first On the Way to School(OWS) project paper titled "On the way to school: Co-producing pathways for evidence-based implementation of active mobility to school interventions". This work explores how active mobility to and from school (AMTS) can be designed and implemented in resource-constrained urban contexts. While AMTS brings critical health and equity benefits, interventions in low- and middle-income countries often struggle to move from pilot projects to routine practice. In this paper, we present a South–South collaboration between Colombia and Mozambique, applying the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) to build a transferable four-step co-design pathway. Authored by Daniel Oviedo, Maria Alejandra Wilches M, María José Arbeláez Z, Natalia Villamizar Duarte, Olga L Sarmiento, Sara marquez martin, Julio D Dávila, Joaquín Romero de Tejada, Diana Carolina Durán Forero, Johanna Florez Espinosa, Maria Laura Torres, @German Casas, Luis A. Guzman, Julian Edbrooke-Childs, Ben Chrisinger, Luisa Fernanda Salinas Farfán, Miguel Prista, Carlos Manuel dos Santos Serra, Johanna Camila Casas Cortés and Mercília Lombe. A heartfelt thank you to the Secretaría Distrital de Movilidad and Secretaria de Educación Distrital de Bogotá, the Conselho Municipal de Maputo and the OMT - Observatório da Mobilidade e de Transportes de Moçambique for their immeasurable support throughout the research project and the writing of this paper. Your commitment has been essential to making this work possible. This is just the beginning: the project is ongoing, and we look forward to continuing to co-design pathways that promote active mobility, health, and equity in resource-constrained urban contexts. 📄 Read the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/emYjMFen
