Today we announced that we have decide to turn to the European Commission regarding the financing frameworks of Universal Postal Services in Latvia and Lithuania. We fully support the role of Universal Postal Services and the principle that services provided in the public interest may receive public compensation. At the same time, we believe it is important to ensure transparency, equal market conditions and a clear separation between regulated and commercial activities in increasingly competitive parcel and logistics markets. Competition, innovation and trust in the rules of the market benefit customers, businesses and society alike. Where legitimate questions arise, they deserve independent assessment and clarity. We see this initiative as a constructive step towards greater transparency and the long-term sustainability of the Baltic postal and logistics sector. Read more in link in comments.
