Everyone who works with piping isometrics knows the pain: the dimension references between fittings and steel columns or grid lines are hidden deep in attributes. Hard to check, easy to get wrong — and every mistake comes back as an isometric correction. Our new DMFARRAY form makes them visible, directly in the 3D model: ✅ One row per fitting or branch end — colour-coded per pipe ✅ Dimensions drawn live in 3D: dashed line, arrow and the real distance in mm ✅ Smooth camera flight to every element — like a landing airplane ✈️ ✅ Assign a steel or grid reference with two picks, choose East / North / Elevation / Position ✅ Dimensions that run along the pipe are automatically moved aside, with witness lines, so they stay readable ✅ Built-in user manual (English + Deutsch) and a 4-minute tutorial video Built 100% with PML on AVEVA E3D 3.1 — developed at planting GmbH. Looks simple to use, but it is not simple under the hood: around 1300 lines of code so far, and development is still ongoing. The plan is to make it even more automatic in the future. The result: faster checking, fewer isometric corrections, cleaner drawings.
