#IdentityGovernance programs rarely stall because teams stop believing in the strategy. They stall on execution. EMA's Navigating the Identity Crisis found 87% of organizations consider identity governance very important. Yet 30% have abandoned or scaled back #IGA or #zerotrust programs. The reason is integration gaps, complexity, and scaling problems that overwhelm the operating model. The cost of that gap is concrete: 56.4% of organizations that scaled back their programs experienced an identity-related breach in the past year, against 18.7% of those that didn't. This blog post looks at why IGA programs stall, where breach risk concentrates when they do, and what operating model actually sustains governance at scale.
