Earlier today, the Hon. Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, and the AfDB champion for Africa's $7 billion aviation transformation programme, Olorogun Festus Keyamo SAN, CON, joined forces with the Hon. Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, to launch the inaugural flag-off of the Nigeria–East/Southern Africa Air Cargo Route in partnership with RwandAir Ltdr. This milestone marks a massive stride forward for the Federal Government's Renewed Hope Agenda, unlocking unprecedented trade corridors across the continent. As the Hon. Minister of Aviation powerfully noted: "You cannot transform African trade without connecting Africa first." This initiative directly advances the vision for an effective, efficient Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), a key agenda the Minister recently championed at the African Air Transport Expo in Lomé, Togo.
