Yesterday was #WorldFoodSafetyDay! 🌍 At Olio, #foodsafety is our bread and butter 🍞🧈 And for our partners - we've made surplus food sharing safe and simple. We're the experts, and we've worked with experts to get it right: 🍲 The moment our trained Food Waste Heroes collect your food, the responsibility is ours (contractually). So our partners can donate their surplus food with confidence 🤝 We've had a Primary Authority Partnership with South Derbyshire DC since 2017, and an independent regulatory and scientific consultant Sterling Crew regularly reviews our food safety frameworks 📊 Because food is shared via our app, we have a full digital trail of where it ends up - meaning we can act quickly in the event of any product recalls ✅ Every year since, our Food Safety Management System (FSMS) has received Assured Advice, confirming our operations comply with food regulations 🥇 Our Primary Authority partnership won a Local Government Chronicle award in 2025 📅 To date, we've safely redistributed over 150 million meals Safe food sharing, sorted.
