For architects, inspiration is essential. My source of inspiration for refining The Bridge was Peter Zumthor’s Kolumba Museum in Cologne. I am deeply grateful for that influence. It led to several key architectural decisions: MIB clinker bricks in a colour inspired by Kolumba, structural sealant glazing recessed 80 mm beyond the façade, and a D200 exposed concrete boundary wall.
