A year ago, I received an invitation with one line that instantly caught my attention: “You are invited to a Secret Supper.” by ClickUp No venue. No full agenda. Just enough mystery to make me curious. I thought it might be something special. I wasn’t wrong. I met my networking partner in crime Julia Sanzharova, and a few more great people, learned a lot about how the company was growing, and what I appreciated most was the absence of the usual “catch.” No hard sell. No endless follow-ups. Just thoughtful conversations and a genuine opportunity to connect. This year, I attended another event from the same team: The Table. And somehow, the format was even better. Afterwards, I shared my thoughts online. Usually, when something goes wrong, people are quick to talk about it. But when something is genuinely good, we often stay quiet. So I decided not to. Instead of a generic “thank you,” I received a personal message from Kyle Coleman, their VP of Marketing. Then I was asked for permission to use my testimonial, which felt like a really lovely touch. And now I’ve been invited back again. Thank you, Orla. I’ll try my best to make it. I’m genuinely impressed by your team , Cédric Asperella, Aurore de Saint-Exupery, Órla Mulligan, Trish Sanderson and a few more people I had the pleasure of meeting. You managed to do something quite rare in sales and marketing: You made it feel genuinely human. And that is why I remember it.
