"Learning is learning." Recently, a breakdown in our internal technical handoff resulted in a scrapped batch and a few thousands hit to our bottom line. The mistake was simple but critical: executing a laser-cutting sequence before the material was toughened, rather than after. When things go wrong in production, it’s rarely a "person" problem—it’s a "process" problem. This setback forced us to look at how technical data is communicated from design to programming. We've now implemented a mandatory "Sequence Sign-off" for multi-stage manufacturing jobs. Expensive lessons stick the best. Grateful for a team that owns the mistake and focuses entirely on the solution.
