Overcoming Anatomical Barriers in Varicocele Treatment. In interventional radiology, success often depends on our ability to adapt to complex venous anatomy. In this specific case, after unsuccessful attempts to reach the testicular vein via the left renal vein, we performed a direct retrograde embolization through a percutaneous inguinal approach. This technique allowed for precise coil placement and successful occlusion of the refluxing vein.
