🚊 OHLA ŽS (OHLA ŽS, a.s.) strengthens its role as a strategic partner in the development of railway infrastructure in the Czech Republic with the launch of two major projects in the regions of Hradec Králové and Central Bohemia. These initiatives reinforce the company’s position as a stable and reliable provider in the railway infrastructure sector and contribute significantly to the modernization of public transport across the country. One of the most significant projects is the start of the comprehensive modernization of Hradec Králové’s main railway station, which serves nearly 20,000 passengers every day. By 2031, the station will be transformed into a modern intermodal transport hub, enabling passengers to seamlessly combine rail travel with urban public transport, private vehicles and bicycles. The new complex will also feature barrier‑free access, as well as advanced information and safety systems designed to enhance the passenger experience. The second strategic project involves the modernization of the longest section—fifteen kilometres—of the future Prague–Airport–Kladno railway connection, between Ruzyně (Prague) and Kladno. Once completed, the line will be double‑tracked and electrified, significantly increasing its capacity and maximum operating speed, while also upgrading the stations and stops along the route. Completion of the project is scheduled for 2029 and will represent a major step forward in sustainable mobility and regional connectivity. #OHLA #CzechRepublic #Infrastructure
