What does a peer-to-peer energy network actually look like behind the scenes? This video presents the interconnection and technical architecture powering our pilot in Kanombe, Nyagatare District, Rwanda. The platform connects a minimum of three types of participants (users or households) within the same local network. Using SOLshare's intelligent energy routing technology, electricity flows dynamically between neighboring users based on availability and demand. Instead of excess solar energy remaining unused once batteries reach full charge, it is redirected to nearby consumers through a controlled and monitored peer-to-peer network. The system combines: 🔹 Solar generation assets; 🔹 Battery energy storage; 🔹 Smart metering and energy monitoring; 🔹 Bidirectional energy trading hardware; 🔹 Real-time energy management software. As we continue testing and learning from this pilot, we are excited to explore how peer-to-peer energy sharing can contribute to the future of community-centered electrification on large-scale. #OffGridBox #SOLshare #SwarmE #PeerToPeerEnergy #P2PTrading #Microgrids #DistributedEnergy #EnergyAccess #RenewableEnergy #SmartGrids #Rwanda #Electrification
