Today, Ochre Health was honoured to welcome Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Senator Corinne Mulholland to celebrate the launch of the Caloundra Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, marking the completion of the Australian Government's commitment to establish 50 new Medicare Urgent Care Clinics during the 2025–26 financial year. The Caloundra clinic will provide fully bulk-billed urgent care for patients with urgent but non-life-threatening conditions, helping local residents and visitors (with a Medicare card) access timely treatment without the need for an emergency department visit. Opening to patients on 17 June 2026, the clinic will initially operate from Little Mountain while a larger purpose-built Urgent Care Clinic and Ochre Health Hub is developed in Aura, creating significant additional healthcare capacity for one of Australia's fastest-growing communities. We’d like to recognise and thank our clinical teams, practice staff, partners, government stakeholders and especially @countrytocoastqld leaders Julie Sturgess CEO, Matthew Schull (Director Integration), and Robb Major (Regional Manager Sunshine Coast) for their professional and community first approach through the competitive tender process. The Medicare UCC at Caloundra is funded by Country to Coast Queensland through the Australian Government’s PHN program. At Ochre Health, we remain committed to improving access to high-quality healthcare for communities across Australia. #OchreHealth #MedicareUrgentCareClinic #PrimaryCare #Healthcare #CommunityHealth #SunshineCoast #Caloundra #Medicare View our full story in the comments
