π At Occupational Therapy Australia, we recognise IDAHOBIT β the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia β as an important opportunity to stand for inclusion, respect and belonging for LGBTQIA+ communities. OTs see firsthand how affirming environments support health, wellbeing, identity and participation in everyday life. We also recognise the impact exclusion and discrimination can have on individuals, families and communities. IDAHOBIT is a reminder that inclusion is not just a value β itβs something we actively create through our language, our actions, our workplaces and the spaces we hold for others. At OTA, we remain committed to supporting a profession where LGBTQIA+ people feel seen, heard and welcomed β both within occupational therapy and in the communities we serve.
