#SpecialReport | #ORFIndia This report by Arya Roy Bardhan and Soumya Bhowmick examines how artificial intelligence is reshaping #India’s Global Capability Centres and the future of white-collar work. Its central argument is that #AI will not make the #GCC model obsolete, because enterprise AI deployment still requires human oversight, #DataGovernance, compliance, domain judgement, and workflow redesign. However, it will change the employment intensity of GCC growth. Using a scenario exercise for 2030, the report estimates AI-related displacement of roughly 40,000 to 150,000 #jobs before accounting for reinstatement effects. The risk is not tantamount to sectoral collapse but will create transition pressure, especially for entry-level roles that have historically absorbed fresh graduates into formal high-#skill work.
