The conflict that erupted on 28 February has imposed significant costs on Gulf economies, disrupting infrastructure and key sectors such as aviation, hospitality, and logistics. Higher energy prices and supply disruptions have fuelled inflationary pressures, and the crisis has exposed the risks associated with heavy dependence on critical trade routes. Attention is now turning to how GCC states intend to recover from the crisis and build greater resilience. To explore these questions, Observer Research Foundation Middle East is convening an in-person discussion titled ‘The Gulf’s Economic Resilience amid Regional Turbulence’. The conversation will explore experts and policymakers' views on the resources Gulf countries are likely to deploy, the lessons emerging from the crisis, and the strategies being pursued to future-proof their growth models. 🗓️: June 25, Tuesday 📍: ORF Middle East Office, Dubai Register via link in the comments to attend!
