Projects involving rigorous research, knowledge production, and challenging prevailing assumptions align perfectly with our values. Particularly, if this involves imagining future scenarios, this fascinates us the most. Speculative design, combined with the capacity to translate research into spatial installation, is precisely what contemporary society requires—now more than ever—to envision different ways of living, thinking, designing, and simply being. Every creative process is fundamentally a learning process: technical learning about our methods and aspirations, but also conceptual learning that radiates outward. Insights gained through speculative design feed directly into other projects across urban, architectural, and product scales, creating a continuous cycle of refinement and enrichment. Nøha exists to experiment rigorously. We interrogate the way we think, conceptualise, and understand our surroundings. Whilst technologies evolve—we increasingly employ AI, parametric design, generative algorithms, and digital tools—we believe it is essential to evolve our thinking alongside them.
