At the Spring 2026 Undergraduate Research Symposium, students shared original research projects developed through close collaboration with faculty mentors, demonstrating the depth of inquiry and interdisciplinary thinking that define the NYU Shanghai academic experience. "Their research ability is comparable to that of the strongest undergraduates I know in China and the US," said Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Neuroscience Xiao Zhuocheng.
