This spring, NYU Shanghai welcomed leading researchers from around the world for the 2026 Singapore-Abu Dhabi-Shanghai-India (SASI) Workshop on Probability, a week of collaboration and discussion spanning probability, statistical physics, and related fields. The workshop also celebrated the remarkable career and lasting influence of Professor Charles Newman on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
