Climate change is no longer only an environmental issue, it is increasingly a public health challenge. At NYU Shanghai, Professor Zhang Wenhong, dean of the Institute of Infection and Health at Fudan University, delivered a compelling lecture on how ecological change is transforming the global risk landscape for infectious disease. From vector-borne illnesses expanding into new regions to the long-term threat of antimicrobial resistance, Zhang highlighted the urgent need for proactive systems: surveillance, early warning, diagnostics, and rapid international response. His core message was that no single country, discipline, or institution can solve these challenges alone. Cross-border collaboration and shared innovation will define future resilience. https://lnkd.in/gR-Mkex2
