Last month, Lt. Col. Bobby Lee recognized Chris Borton, a valued member of Northwestern Division's Real Estate office, for his dedicated service to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the nation. Borton retired in November and Lt. Col. Lee presented Borton the Meritorious Civilian Service Medal and gave him his certificate of retirement.   As NWD's chief appraiser for eight years, Borton steered our region successfully through countless challenges and his efforts are still felt today through the development and publication of a guidebook, which has become a USACE-enterprise asset. He was a trusted expert in valuation analysis and had great expertise in civil works and military planning and acquisition.
