Two major milestones today: our $55M Series B and the expansion of our molecular quantum platform from quantum sensing into quantum computing. The round is led by Abbott, one of the world’s leading healthcare companies, alongside participation from Playground Global, Entrée Capital, Matterwave Ventures/b2venture, and the European Investment Bank (EIB). This funding will serve to accelerate the global rollout of POLARIS, our quantum-enhanced MRI platform for real-time metabolic imaging. With installations already underway at leading institutions including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Technical University of Munich, and University of Cambridge, and more than 20 systems expected in the field this year, POLARIS is proving that quantum technologies can create real-world impact today. We are also announcing a major expansion for NVision into quantum computing with the unveiling of PIQC (pronounced “Pixie” 🧚 ): Photonic Integrated Quantum Circuits. PIQC is the result of several years of quiet work behind the scenes, building on the same molecular expertise that powers POLARIS. Using engineered organic molecules, we developed a new class of molecular quantum systems where long-lived qubit memory and a built-in photonic interface coexist within a single molecule. These systems are naturally compatible with Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for scalability. We will share more about PIQC in the coming days.
