🏛️ In Monheim am Rhein, a new structure is rising around one of Germany's most unusual buildings. The extension of the iconic Mack Pyramid is taking shape. Designed around the work of ZERO artist Heinz Mack, the new building frames the existing pyramid and gives it a fresh presence in the cityscape. ✨ Right now it's all timber construction on site — the floors, ceilings, and roof going in piece by piece. And every step is measured against one thing: the daylight ☀️ The light falling into the building is part of Mack's artwork, so the architecture has to carry it through without altering the original. 🌍 Unusual forms and complex geometries are familiar territory for our Special Projects team — the kind of work we've done around the globe feeds straight into a project like this.
