The NUS Law Collaborative Dispute Resolution Club (CDRC) recently hosted the inaugural NUS Law CDRC Conflict Resolution Conference 2026. A student-led event, this marks Singapore’s first undergraduate conference dedicated to the field. Centred on the theme “Equipping a Future Generation of Conflict Resolution Professionals”, the conference brought together leading practitioners as well as students and academics from National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Social Sciences and Temasek Polytechnic. The keynote address was delivered by Mr Siong-Koon Sim, Director for Strategic Partnerships at the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC), followed by a panel discussion on appropriate dispute resolution in practice. Beyond the dialogue, students participated in hands-on workshops with SIMI-accredited mediators and undergraduate research presentations, equipping them with practical skills and a deeper understanding of conflict resolution methods.
