Multi-objective problems such as the Water–Energy–Food–Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus require balancing complex trade-offs across competing priorities. Proud to share our latest research on the WEFE Nexus. We use fairness-aware Multi-Objective Reinforcement Learning and many-objective optimization to support decision-making under uncertainty and conflicting objectives. We demonstrate the approach in the transboundary Inkomati–Usuthu river basin shared by South Africa, Eswatini, and Mozambique.
