Power systems may sound highly technical — but for Asst Prof Dawei Qiu, the goal is simple: Making future energy cleaner, more affordable, and more resilient for society. ⚡ Joining NTU EEE in 2026, Asst Prof Qiu researches how AI, renewable energy, electric vehicles, and smart electricity markets can work together to power the future sustainably. His work focuses on helping energy systems respond intelligently to uncertainty, whether that means fluctuating renewable energy supply or changing electricity demand. Having worked across leading institutions including Imperial College London and the University of Exeter, he now joins NTU at a pivotal time for energy innovation in Southeast Asia.
