What a day in Trondheim. ✨ Wednesday we officially launched NTNU WellFare as a WHO Collaborating Centre on Well-being and Social Sustainability - the first global WHO Collaborating Centre in this field! The room was full of researchers, practitioners, municipal leaders, policymakers, civil society, young voices and changemakers who share a conviction: wellbeing is not a soft topic. It is public health, democratic resilience and social sustainability in practice. A central message ran through the day: Wellbeing is not created by welfare systems and health services alone. It is shaped by all sectors and in everyday life - through fairness, trust, participation, belonging and real opportunities to contribute. People need to feel valued and heard. But just as importantly, they need opportunities to add value - to their families, communities and society. The launch was both a beginning and a continuation - and an invitation to move from short-term repair to long-term prevention; from fragmented services to connected care; from economic growth as an end in itself to wellbeing for people and planet. Thank you to everyone who joined us and brought your energy, expertise and hope! We'll be sharing highlights and video clips from the launch here - stay tuned!
