Up to 85% of a car seat can be recycled. Incredible right!?! Diverting hundreds of seats from landfill, recovering valuable materials like plastics, metals and textiles for reuse. To give you context, 36 car seats amounts to 234kg of hard plastics, 43kgs of metals and 34kgs of fabric. Georges River Council’s efforts were celebrated at the Keep Australia Beautiful NSW awards.
