A pilot project has just launched in the Upper Hunter that aims to give scientists more accurate readings of greenhouse gas emissions. New technology will employ atmospheric modelling and chemical ‘fingerprinting’ to better identify where gases like carbon dioxide and methane are coming from. The monitoring network will help inform emissions reduction as we head towards net zero. Find out more from the video below and by visiting here: bit.ly/GHGMonitoring The project is being delivered by the Science and Insights Division in the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water in partnership with our organisation. It is also guided by an external Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure scientific rigour and independence.
