Precast requires every detail resolved upfront. Once production starts, the geometry is locked. We recently finished detailing a precast bridge infrastructure project in Tekla Structures. Modeling was only part of the scope. The priority was ensuring every element reached production fully coordinated. Here's what that meant: • Reinforcement modeled inside each precast element • Setting-out plans for beams and slabs • Fabrication drawings for beams and plates • Distribution plans aligned with assembly sequence Every project demands accurate detailing. In precast, that accuracy must be locked in before production. Every dimension, every bar, every embed - defined before the element leaves the factory. That's why every shop drawing has to be buildable before it leaves our hands. The team in the factory shouldn't need to interpret anything. Neither should the crew on site. When that part is done properly, the rest of the project has space to run smoothly, from production to final assembly. Swipe through to see how we approached this one.
